Non-surgical Facelifts

Cheek and Chin Filler - Before and After
Cheek and Chin Filler - Before and After

As we age, we lose volume in the face and gravity has its gradual effects. A non-surgical facelift helps counteract these effects. Dr. Morgan understands that not all patients are able to have a surgical facelift. For those patients who are unable to undergo anesthesia, or who wish to obtain great results without the downtime, we offer this alternative.

The Procedure

The procedure is customized to each individual patient. The essential components are fillers to enhance the cheek bones and reduce the lines between the nose and the mouth. Fillers are also used to reduce the “jowls”. Botox is used to “erase” the frown lines and crow’s feet and elevate the brow. Some patients will also have fractional laser resurfacing.

Patients can expect to have some mild to moderate bruising. Patients are asked to sleep on their backs for two days after the procedure to prevent distortion of the fillers. Botox® will take one to two weeks to attain its maximal effect. Patients can expect up to 18 months of lasting results from the fillers, and three months for the Botox®. All patients will be reevaluated at one year for fillers and quarterly for Botox®.

For patients undergoing fractional laser resurfacing, this typically takes 3-5 sessions spaced at 2-3 week intervals.

There are so many fillers and injectables available today that it is sometimes difficult to make sense of them all. Dr. Morgan has selected the best of these to offer to his patients. He will recommend which are best for your needs and skin type. As a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon, Dr. Morgan is most concerned with the safety and proper use of these products. The use of these products must be what is in the best interest of the patient to obtain their goals. Prior to using these products, Dr. Morgan will discuss multiple options that can achieve the goals of his patients. Dr. Morgan also participates and follows the recommendations of the Physicians Coalition for Injectable Safety. He stays abreast of all of the most recent information regarding cosmetic injections and products.

Radiesse®

Radiesse® dermal filler is made of calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel, and is injected into the skin through a simple and minimally invasive procedure. Dr. Morgan uses Radiesse® for total facial contouring and non-surgical face lifts. At this time, Dr. Morgan feels this is the longest lasting filler. Patients are thrilled with the long lasting, natural results achieved with this non-surgical procedure.

The safety profile of Radiesse® is outstanding. It is made from a biocompatible substance that is identical to what is naturally found in the body. There is virtually no risk of allergic reaction and few side effects. People can expect to have mild to moderate bruising. Patients are instructed to use ice to reduce this. Patients are also instructed to avoid sleeping on their face for the first two nights after treatment, in order to avoid movement of the product.

Juvederm®

Juvaderm Lip Filler
Juvaderm Lip Filler

Juvederm® is a clear, smooth gel that consists of hyaluronic acid. This is a naturally occurring substance in your skin that adds substance and hydration. The use of this product will be customized to each individual patient. Because of the nature of this product, we can use this to address superficial lines as well as deeper creases and folds. Dr. Morgan finds this product is exceptional in the lips and creates a full lip without looking operated or overdone.

After having this procedure, the patient can expect to have mild to moderate bruising. If the product is injected into the lips, patients should expect swelling for 1-3 days. Ice will help reduce the swelling.

Restylane®

Restylane®, like Juvederm®, is a gel that consists of hyaluronic acid. Dr. Morgan will use this product to address both fine lines and wrinkles in the face. Because this product is a naturally occurring substance, the safety profile is excellent.

After having this procedure, the patient can expect to have mild to moderate swelling and bruising. Ice will help reduce the swelling.
